May Guest Designer at Perfectly Precocious

Hi bloggy friends! This month I was a very lucky girl and was asked to be the May Guest Designer at Perfectly Precocious Paper. Tessa is an amazingly talented person, she creates all of these handmade flowers and embellishments and sells them in kits or 'Samplers' in her Etsy Shop. Each piece in her shop is different so there is lots of variety, she also makes fabric, lace & tulle, dyed cardboard and specialty flowers -so give it a look see when you have a chance..you will love everything and want to buy it all! lol 


 As the May GDT I was asked to create 3 projects with the May Sampler-Mother's Portrait,

 

I was so excited seeing these lovelies and couldn't wait to start making stuff with them!

First up I made a wedding layout of the hubs and I. I used all Echo Park-For the Record paper (love that line!) and for the title "Cherish Forever" I used some fabulous EAD rub-ons! From the Family Words set. 

Next I made a beautiful Mother's Day card ((my mom LOVED it!))..All the papers are from Crate Paper-Emma's Shoppe (this is a really pretty line!). The "Mama" comes from the Mother's Day 2010 Cricut cart. and the sentiment is by Scrappy Mom's Stamps-All in the Family set.

Last but not least I made this card using the big woodgrain flower in the May Sampler, I let the flower "do all the talking"..lol..I wanted all the atention on the flower..you know! :) the ribbons and leaves are also in the sampler. I loved the way this one came out...all the pattern papers are by My Mind's Eye-Stella Rose collection, the other piece is from an old dictionary I never read..lol...who reads dictionaries anyway..hehee. :p

I also used my favorite tool right now, my button maker sold at in the Peachy Keen Stamps store...I used it to make my own button (above). Such a great invention! ;)

So what do ya think? I was a busy bee for awhile there! I just want to thank Tessa for letting me be apart of her blog this month..it was so much fun!
