Lil' Pumpkin

Hi everyone! This month I'm the Guest Designer on the Helmar Adhesives blog. I've been so lucky to be able to play with some of their great glues, tape runners and pop dots (LOVE!)..Here's one of the projects I've made so far and what I posted...
***************************

Today I wanted to share a fun Halloween layout of my daughter, Natalie. This was last year, she was almost one years old. When I make my scrapbook pages I like to use 6x6 paper pads because I feel like I can buy more with my money, so I like to make them stretch. I try to find creative ways to use that size paper and using the Helmar taper runner made it so easy to adhere small pieces of paper!

I really LOVE the Acid Free Glue for scrapbooking too, I used that to add my title.

And the ZapDots are awesome for adding lots of dimension to my page, they are the perfect thickness. I alternated the ZapDots on every other pumpkin for a fun look. I also added a little piece of burlap and the Tape Runner is strong enough to hold it in place! ;)

I hope you like my page and hopefully inspires you to scrap your Halloween photos! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

PKS -Let's Face it Friday Challenge -Creepy Cute

This is my 2nd post of the day, please CLICK HERE for the new EAD co-branding post! Thanks! :)
******************************

Hi everyone! It's that time of month again..time for another PKS Let's Face it Friday! Since we are so close to Halloween time, the theme is just perfect ~Creepy Cute~ my kind of thing! :)
We were to make something that might give us the creepy crawlies but in the cutest Peachiest way!

So I thought it was time to make another layout..this picture was taken last year, this was Natalie's 1st Halloween and she was a cute lil' Pumpkin and I was a Vampire..lol :) when I was growing up my parents didn't allow us to celebrate Halloween, so as I've gotten older I try to have fun with it..this year Natalie is gonna be a Ladybug and I'm working on something for myself but I'm kinda stumped..any suggestions?.. I can't wait to share some fun pics..and of course scrap them! hehe :)

For my layout I used the Echo Park Apothecary Emporium collection and my Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge for the spooky characters and Monster title. I also used the Something to Celebrate Cricut cartridge for those rosettes (I LOVE making those!). I got a fence border punch on clearance for like 5 bucks at M's so I HAD to test it out! :)

For my monsters I used the PK-692 Monster Mash Face Assortment.

I was also inspired my this week's Pencil Lines sketch 256:

I hope you enjoyed my layout!
You can get more inspiration from the DT HERE and link up your projects, we love seeing what you guys make and of course there is always a great prize to win!

Candy Corn Kisses

Hey there! Today is the Terrific Tuesday Challenge over on the Scrappy Mom's blog. This week we are playing with the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge. This is one of my favies and perfect for this time of year too!
Here's my card, hope you likey!

Isn't she a cute lil' candy corn?! I used some fun Martha Stewart papers and guess what!? I found a cartridge that cuts those cute pinwheel thingies! I just got the Something to Celebrate at M's when they were having their sale and I gotta say, it has sooo much stuff on there. And now I'm addicted to these lil pinwheel guys! lol I'm sure you see more of these in the near future.
So anywho I used the new 'Bewitched' stamp set by SMS and I used the new PK-486 In Stitches face assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Alrighty that's all for today, hope you can come join us in the challenge, Mel & Tammy always give away a fabulous prize! :)

It's almost Halloween!

And I'm sooo happy I got a chance to make a few more Halloween cards! I was having fun whipping these out! lol..I've picked up a lot of goodies here and there when they go on sale and I needed to make something with this stuff before the holiday passing me up...I think I'm at that point were I have to much supplies and not enough time! Any one know what I mean!?! LOL...I know I'm not the only one!...So here's what I have been up to....

For this card I used the PK Lisa Jean Halloween stamp set and the coldren card is from Mini Monsters.

This was one of my 1st attempts at really coloring in a stamped image. I'm trying to get more practice and get better at it. I just used my regular ol' colored pencils...maybe once I get a little better I will take the plunge (you know..either some Prisma colored pencils or dare I say..Copics!)
I had to add a lil' bit of glossy glaze to the bubbles too!

For this card I used a Martha Stewart stamp for the town and embossed it with black powder, the paper is by Cosmo Cricket and I finally bought a label maker and used it for the title.

I love the way this spooky owly card  came out. I got a fun set of Martha Stewart emblishments and this owl was part of the set. All the pieces are glittery. So I cut the tag from Storybook and layered it, did some faux stitching and I also heat embossed the 'BOO' too! :)
I even did some good old fashion paper tearing! :)

Are you all still with me? LOL..I told  you I was having fun making these..so for my last card I used some fun EAD Stickerz the ~Hocus Pocus~ set. This was my1st attempt at paper pleating. I've seen this done before and loved the look..it was kind of tricky for me, but I think I got it down.

Wheew! You made it through! LOL...hope you enjoyed my spooky cards! If I have some more time I will make a few more , I still have lots of goodies to play with! Have a great day! :)

Enter if you DARE!! and some eggs..lol...

Hi everyone today is Momo's Tuesday Challenge and this week the theme is to make anything BUT a card! I wasn't to sure what to make since all I have been making lately is cards...I had to dust off my brain a little and really think! LOL.. so I decided to make a door sign, you know like the 'do not disturb' type of thingys, but I made my Halloweenish..take a look...
There's lots of glitter on the words...and the vamp even has some bling on his bowtie! :)

This is the 1st one of these door signs I have made, but I think it came out cute. I might even make one for my daughter's room soon! :)  I cut the sign from the My Community cart, the letters are from Storybook and the vamp and spider w/web are from Mini Monsters. The vamp & spider faces are from the PK Monster Mash Face assort...I hope you all can join in the challenge this week!

Now onto the 'eggs' part of my post..lol..I made another sneaky peeky for you all with the new 'A Pinch and A Dash' set by Scrappy Mom's Stamps, take a peek!...
You're Eggs-traordinary! Isn't this the cutest!? I'm soo loving these sentiments! I cut that eggy from the Just Because Cards cartridge and the face is from the new Peachy Keen set ~Snow Cuties~
I also added some glossy glaze for some real life egginess! :)

Well that's it for today! You all got a two for one today, with two projects! lol, hope you likey and hope you all have a fantastic day!

BBTB2-Haunted House

Hello again! This is my 2nd post for today..please scroll down for the EAD blog hop! Thanks! :)

Ok, so I am back with a fun project for Bitten by the Bug 2! And this we week we were asked to make the 3D haunted house from the Happy Haunting cartridge ((which I don't have!)) so instead I made a cute little haunted house from the Winter Woodland cart. I didn't get to make it as spooky as I would have like but I did add a couple of scary ghosts from the Mini Monsters cart....

I've never made any 3D projects using my Cricut, but it actually wasn't that bad, just a LOT of scoring and folding and let me tell you, it was a lot easier using my hot glue gun to get all the little pieces to stay down! ;)  I also used PK Make a Monster face assort for the spooky lil' ghosts.

Be sure to check out  BBTB2 to see what all of the designers have made for you this week, I promise you will LOVE all the haunted houses AND we are also having a little giveaway you don't want to miss out! Thanks for stopping by!

Cricut Cardz Challenge~'Z' fold Halloween Card~

Happy Wednesday everyone! Today is Team 1's week on the Cricut Cardz Challenge and we had  to make an 'S' or 'Z' fold Halloween card. I love this fold, but I always forget about it.  We were also able to use any cricut cartridge we wanted. So of course I ended up using Mini Monster AGAIN! I just can't get over how cute all the little cuts are on this cart! My first plan was to use the Halloween images from A Child's Year, but it just wasn't working out. I'm so happy I decided to switch it up, cuz I looove the end result!

What do you think? I was going for a pumpkin patch look.  I used the
and the
The sentiments and the spider are from a Halloween stamp set by Fiskers I got at JoAnn's.
For the Spider I drew a little stitched web..I thought it looked cute! And the 'Boo' sign is cut from Walk in My Garden.
I hope you all can join in the challenge, thanks for stopping by!
Don't forget tomorrow is the Peachy Keen Blog Hop! I'm so excited, this will be my first time hopping with my new PK design team! We will be showcasing the September Releases and there will be lots of blog candy! So see you then! :)

Cricut Cardz Challenge-Halloween Card Feature

Hi there! Today is my turn (along with Team #1) over at the Cricut Cardz Challenge and  this week Mary choose to have the DT make a Halloween card using any card feature on any cricut cartridge. So this was my chance to play with Mini Monsters again, and I used the Fence Card. I also added the cute little ghosts and cat along with the tombstone. And of course I had to give the ghosts and kitty and Peachy face! I used the Pumpkin Faces and the Simple Sallies face (I also added little whiskers on the cat)..I even did the inside of the card! Wow ..I think that's a first for me! lol..I hardly ever do the insides but it came out great, so maybe I will start doing that.
The fence opens...

Here's the inside..I used a Scrappy Mom's Stamp from the ~A Haunting We Will Go~ set.

So fun! I am loving making these Halloween cards. Yesterday I pulled out all my Fall decorations and was burning my pumpkin oils now I am totally in the mood for Fall to be here!!
So I hope you all can join in the challenge and make sure you check out CCC for more fun Halloween cardz! Have a great day!

Winner of blog candy and a SPOOKY card!

Hi everyone! I have a winner for my give away! And the winner is...
     ***Tammy!***

Congrats! You get to choose which one of the 2 new Scrappy Mom's stamp sets you'd like! I will get ahold of you soon!**Thanks again to everyone who left such awesome comments and welcome to all of my newest followers! :)

Now onto my card! ... Yesterday I was having a poll to see which theme card you all  would like to see me make next and SPOOKY won! I kinda had a feeling! ... I think Donna may have voted a few times! lol ;)
So I decided to make a circle card using one of the features from Wild Card and I think it came out very spooky!...
I used the new Rock Princess cart. for the 'heart bat' and I used Mini Monsters for the spooky lookin fence. I stamped the bats face with the PK Monster Mash face set and I also used diamond glaze on the 'blood' and the tongue.
For the green background I crumpled up the paper and inked it with black chalk ink. The sentiment is one of my favs from the -A Haunting we will go- stamp set by Scrappy Mom's stamps.
I also put black stickles all over the fence and wrapped twine around the green layer. The house is hand cut from pattern paper.

So what do ya think? I'm not the best at 'spooky' so I thought I would give it a try!

Thank you everyone for stopping by...and thanks to everyone who voted in my poll..it was fun seeing the votes go up and down, I'm might do that again sometime!

Have a great day! :)
