EAD Blog Hop-Beach Bum layout

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend..how about a quick and fun EAD Designs blog hop to get your mojo flowing? There's always a chance to win goodies along the way, so if you'd like to join us you can start at the beginning HERE, if you came from Amy C.'s blog then you're in the right spot.

If you missed my post from yesterday I mentioned that I just got over 300 pictures developed so I'm in total scrapbooking mood! Can you guess what I'm sharing today? :)
I made this beachy layout of my Natalie, these are newer pics so it makes it look like I'm not that behind..lol! Actually these pics where taken with my iPhone, I'm so impressed with the quality!

I cut the big wave from the Life's a Beach Cricut cart and sanded the edges a bit. I also wanted to create a border with the stickers, it was really easy to layer them. And I used my cloud punch  behind the sun.  All the pattern papers are by We R Memory Keepers.

I used the Fun in th Sun stickerz for my page.
I was also inspired by THIS sketch by October Afternoon.
I hope you like it!

Ok, you're next stop on the hop is to

Have a great day! :)

Fun in the Sun

Hi there!
Today is the Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Mom's Stamps. For those of you who don't know, we do these challenges twice a month and it's a Cricut cartridge based challenge. This week we are using the Life's a Beach cart..it goes perfectly with the new 'Sun Kissed' stamp set!

For my card today I was inspired by THIS cutie. I LOVE this mermaid and I just HAD to give her a Peachy face! Actually all of the cuts on this card is from the Life's a Beach cart. I used some vellum for the waves and just cut that with my 'fancy' edge paper trimmer.
I also added some glossy accents to the sun...

and to the tops of the waves...

All of the paper is by American Crafts, which by the way is now sold at the Peachy Keen Stamps store at a GREAT price! ;)
I pulled out my favorite Peachy faces for the mermaid and the sun..PK-660 Laughy Taffy=LOVE this set!

I hope you like my card and hopefully it gets you in a beachy mood....come join us in the challenge! You will have until next Monday to get your entries in for a chance to win the 'Happily Ever After' stamp set! Good luck! Check it all out HERE.

Life's a Beach

Hey there! What do ya think of the new blog design? I was working on it all day yesterday...I was getting kinda tired of that cloud background and needed a change. I'm still getting used to it..in the process some blinkies and other links were deleted, so I'm trying to remember what was on my 'old' blog!
Anywoo..I hope you like it..hopefully I can get a new button made and guess what?? I added a 'subscribe by email' box on the right sidebar, so whenever I have a new post up you can get an email sent right to you! I also added a new profile pic..no more yellow background! lol :)

BBTB2-Life's a Beach-Flamingo Challenge

Happy Monday everyone! Today is another BBTB2 day and this week the DT was asked to used the flamingo cut from Life's a Beach, but we were also told to make this different and not use pink(since flamingos are all pink!). So I thought this would be a unique way of making a fun Halloween card! I love the end result, I think all the details work perfect together.  I'm super excited because I got myself an Irock, which is the coolest thing ever! I've been having so much fun adding bling to all my projects and believe it or not it's actually very cheap! I used it for the flourishes, the eye of the flamingo and on the flower.
I did a lot of inking on the embossed swirls to really make them pop more!
The sentiment comes from -A Haunting we will go- stamp set by Scrappy Mom's Stamps. I also inked around the edges of the orange flower, but wasn't too sure if I liked it that way..what do you think??

I looove this bling! I'm sure all of my projects will be covered in it now! LOL...And the itty bitty stars are cool too, I got those on sale at M's.

Well thanks so much for stopping by, be sure to check out BBTB2 for lots more inspiration from the talented DT girls!

**Make sure to come back tomorrow...I got the new Rock Princess cartridge and I have a super cute card for you all! :) Have a nice day!

P.S. Thank you everyone who participated in the Scrappy Mom's blog hop on Saturday! You all left the sweetest comments and you still have a chance to win a set of stamps! Just click HERE!

Hope you all like it and a quick reminder that tomorrow is the Scrappy Mom's Blog Hop! Hope you all can join in, you will get tons of inspiration from the DT and our guest designers! Have a great day!

Sweet Thing...Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #15

I have one more post for the day and it's for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #15-Summer Time at the Beach- So I know you've seen these cards before, right? I have and have always wanted to try making one...let me tell you it was soooo super simple! All you have to do is get 2 hearts, flip one upside down, weld them together, and you got yourself a butt card! LOL (this would work for a boobie card too!) heheheee..I thought this worked PERFECT for the theme of things at the beach!..now if only I could fit into a piece like this! lol...
I used twine for the bows and the sentiment is a rub-on. The bikini bottom is from Life's a Beach and I used the hide feature to hide the top. Hope you like it and thanks for looking! :)

By the way..my hubby LOVED this one! hehe ;p

Let it Be...Life's a Beach card

*I have another card for today*
A girlfriend from my job is moving away to Hawaii (lucky her!!)..her hubby is getting stationed there. I made this card for her going away party. I used the Life's a Beach cart, this was one of those pre-made cards (I call them cheater cards..lol!)...I had to size each flower to fit the card, added faux stitching and ink the edges and added the dew drops in the middle..
I added vellum behind the flowers..
I thought this sentiment was perfect *Let it Be* it's one of my favorite stamps. I added the pink gems to the flourishes.
I think she will like it...TFL!

BBTB2-Peggy Loves Vintage

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I celebrated my 1st as being a new mom and it was great!
This week at BBTB2 the DT was asked to use a tag from TBBM but that's one I don't have, so I used a tag from Plantin Schoolbook ((If you want to play along but don't have a certain cartridge, feel free to use any cart! we love to see you work!!))...Also we have Peggy Loves Vintage sponsoring us this week. That's where that cute hula girl came from! Check out the Etsy shop, she has amazing vintage images to chose from! I love anything vintage so I was so happy to join in this week!
I used Life's a Beach for the palm tree, sand, and waves. I did ink the edges for a more vintage feel.
I want to use this as a bookmark, so to be sure everything stays glued down, I used the glossy modge podge. It really helps to seal everything..and it makes the flowers pop a little more!
Be sure to check out BBTB2 for more amazing ideas from out talented DT! Thanks for stopping by!

BBTB2-Life's A Beach Challenge

It's time for another challenge over at BBTB2..this week the DT was asked to use the Leaf1 cut from Life's A Beach cartridge. We could use any cut from that page. I used the 'escape' sentiment because I've always loved  it. I got so lucky and found this bamboo looking paper in my stash, and it just worked out perfect! I wanted a beachy feel, so I added the flowers and the fibers also.
I cut a tag from Plantin Schoolbook for the cute little sandals stamp. And added the little green buttons to the flowers.
I dug out my old shaped scissors for the edge of the tag and colored in the stamp just with a white gelly pen. I'm definitely not a copic pro! LOL

Thanks for taking a look..make sure to check out the BBTB2 blog for more great ideas from the amazing DT!

Three Flower Thanks

Hi friends! So here is my first try at a sketch from the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog. This is sketch 44...it looked easy enough..we just had to add flowers. So I used the flowers from Life's a Beach and added the dew drops in the middle, stamped the sentiment and cut the rounded squares from Gypsy Wanderings cart. I finally got myself some kraft cardstock and I am loving it! TFL!

Girly Skull Girl

Hello everyone...here's a cute 'girly' card for you. I made this one for the Just Buggin Challenge #25-to use black & white w/a lil  bit of color. So I decided this skull from Life's a Beach would be perfect!
I cut the 'girly', flowers, and bow from Paisley. I had a hard time at first, but then I found the black w/white dots paper in my scrap pile and it was just the right size..and the middle white with black dots was stamped. I pop dot everything, added some bling, ribbon and gave her some 'blush' with some pink chalk. Hope you like it..tfl!

Flip Flops

I know it's the middle of winter and pretty much everywhere but California is getting tons of snow...but this week over at the Paper Cutz Challenge(#24) we had to make a summer time card to get us all out of our funk of cold weather! lol...So on this card I used the Life's a Beach cart for the flip flops & the Gypsy Wandering cart for the scallops. I added some flowers, stickles, inking, faux stichting and used the cuttlebug on the scallop. For the sentiments I heat embossed them. TFL!

Beach Mini Album

So here is my very 1st mini album. It was sooo much fun, I felt so creative making it! lol...So I used the life's a beach cart. and welded everything on my gypsy..the palm tree is from doodlecharms. I used a good amount of stickles for some bling, some google eyes and inked all of the edges. On the inside pages I did some cuttlebuggin and I dug out some old beach stickers I had since forever..and the pappers were all beach themed.
