Back to School Blog Hop with Scrappy Mom's

Hi everyone! Today is a fun day, 1st off it's a new Scrappy Mom's reveal day with 2 new sets! And secondly we are having a Back to School Blog Hop! Woot! Woot! :)
Ok, if you're joining us then you will want to start at the begining HERE, if you came from Cristina's blog, then you're in the right spot!

I have two school style cards I'm sharing today using the brand spankin' new "School Days" stamp set.

I pulled out some old school Cricut catridges for these cards. I used the Plantin Schoolbook for the 1st card and Doodlecharms for the school bus along with some fun Crate Paper School Spirit papers.
Super easy peasy...I like that! :)

And here's the new stamps..

**Since my daughter isn't in school yet ((I still have about 4 years, thanks God! :) )) I will be giving these 2 cards away to one lucky lady ((or guy, if there's any guys hopping today)). I'm sure someone else could use them more than me right now. ;)
Just leave one comment for a chance to win!
Also make sure to leave a comment on all the DT members (and our fabbie guest DT!) for a chance at the grand prize!

Ok, your next stop is to

Have a great day! :)

Hi there! Today is the Terrific Tuesday Challenge on the Scrappy Mom's blog..this is the Cricut cartridge based challenge ((if you don't have the specific cart you can still play along if you have something similar))..this week the featured cartridge is Stand and Salute..I acutally don't have that one ((I know it's a miracle! lol))..So instead I checked out the handbook from the Cricut site and looked for something I could copy..stars! I have stars on the Plantin Schoolbook..so stars it is..

I made a little star banner ..don't ya just love those  tiny clothespins? Those are my fave! I cut the tag from the Once Upon a Princess cart. and the sentiment is from the "Yankee Doodle Dandy" set by SMS. And to finish it off some American Craafts ribbon and a lil' button with twine combo and we're good to go. I actually wasn't "feeling" this card at first but the more I look at it the  more I like it!

I hope you can join in the challenge with us..we do 2 a month so that means you have 2 chances to win!

PKS-Let's Face it Friday-Old School

Hey there! Today is the Let's Face it Friday challenge over on the Peachy Keen Challenge blog. The theme this week is "Old School" -creating a project based on the year you graduated and make sure to "Peachify" with a fun face!
This was kind of a hard challenge..I was trying to think of the things that went on when I gradutaed (in 2004, so it wasn't that long ago)..but I just decided to go with a senior year layout. I actually made a graduation LO back in the day when I first started scrapbooking and I had to laugh at the way I used to scrapbook..boy have my skills improved! lol..

Here's my new page..
((sorry for the bad lighting, that's what I get for taking my pics late at night! ))
I used the PK-590 Blushing Bride assortment for my grad-gal
Aww I was so young here..only 18!

I made a little scene at the botton of my page by paper peicing the school/bus from the pattern paper and I used my cloud punch and my button maker.

I hope you like it! If you want to join in the challenge you can make anything from the year you gradutaed..from music you listen to, your hairstyle, clothes, your car..anything! As long as you add a Peachy Keen face to it!

Click HERE for all the details and check out the fun projects from the DT!

EAD/Paper Smooches Release

Hey there!
Today is the new release day for the EAD/Paper Smooches co-branding. Kim from Paper Smooches releases new sentiment stickerz and rub-ons by EAD Designs and they are always so cute and fun!

Here's some fun tags I made using the new sentiments..

I love the way these came out! I used my Forever Young Cricut cart paired with some fabulous October Afternoon pattern papers..and cut the tags from the Plantin Schoolbook cart and the borders are both cut from the Cricut Essentials (loaded on the E2)..

Take a peek at the new sentiments
Remember these come in vinyl rub-ons and stickers! I personally love them both, the rub-ons go on very smooth, but it's nice to have the stickers for easy placement! ;)

I hope you like my tags! If you have a chance, check out the rest of the DT to see what they've created with the new release:

Thanks for stoppin by!

P.S. There is still time to enter your name in for a chance to win the new PKS set..click HERE!

EAD Monday Hop

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! The hubby and I took Natalie to the San Diego Wild Animal Park for her 1st time yesterday. She loved all the animals and the weather was nice for half the day, but then rained toward the end so we took off early. But we got to see a huge rainbow in the sky on the way home, so it was worth it! :)

Anywho..today is another fabulous EAD Designs Blog Hop. Please start your hop at the beginning because we don't want you to miss out on anything from the talented DT! If you arrived here from Amy C.'s Blog you are in the right spot!

So today I've got a cute card that I'm in love with! And a fun tag, just because I felt like it! :)

I love the design of this card and that little lion is just too stinkin' cute! I used the adorable EAD Valentine Friends Stickerz and the sentiments are from the EAD Ohlala Stickerz.
(I got my inspiration for this card right HERE.)

Here's my tag!
I used the same sticker sets for this tag also.

Lovin' those cherries!!

Alrighty, I hope you like my card & tag! You gotta snag a sheet of these stickers for Valentines, you can't beat $2.50!  ;-)

Jumpy Jump

Hey there! So today I have another baby layout to share! Woohoo! Two done in one week! Talk about getting caught up! lol...seriously though..I just got 300 photos developed, now that adds to my stash of about 1,000 pictures to scrap (and that's just for my daughter!). Eeek! I'm never gonna be caught up!
I need to focuss a little more of my time into layouts now instead of cards, just to give you all a heads up, you might be seeing more of them in the near future! :)

Ok, onto todays's page. This was of my daughter when she was about 5 months old and she was having a blast jumping in those jumpy chair things you hang in the doorway. I also added some fun Cricut cuts at the bottom of the page.

I hope you like my layout and hopefully it inspires you all to scrap a little more before you really run waaay behind like me! lol... :)

I know I've mentioned before that when I make layouts I love to get inspiration from sketches. I don't have a certain website that I go to, I just look around and try out the ones I like.
This sketch is from The Scrappiest (sketch #100)..

Have a great weekend!

4th of July Owls...

Hi everyone! I just finished making this layout and couldn't wait to share it with you all..I just love the end result! I used my new Hoot n' Holler lite cart and a few other carts also. I don't really do pre-made layouts too often, but I think I might start doing that, because I have been so bad at printing out my pictures lately!  It's for Natalie's 1st 4th of July, I'm gonna be so happy this is already done, all I will have to do is glue her pics right on and call it done! ....
I think I may have gone a lil crazy with the doodling, but I don't think she will care! lol...For the 'fourth of July' I used the Graphically Speaking cartridge and for the brad in the flower I used the Itop brad maker (the flower is from one of the owls).
These owls are super cute! I made them into patriotic owls to go with the theme...
The little red starts are stamped..
I learned how to make this banner from one of my scrapbook mags..basically you just use your circle punch and fold them in half and staple.
The 'Hooray!' is cut from Cuttin'Up cartridge along with the title (My First...)...
And all of the stars are from Plantin SB.
So what do ya think? Super cute! It's perfect for the 4th! Now we just need to have a good day so I can get some cute pics of Natalie! Thanks for stopping by! And I hope you all have a great 4th of July weekend! :)

BBTB2-Peggy Loves Vintage

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I celebrated my 1st as being a new mom and it was great!
This week at BBTB2 the DT was asked to use a tag from TBBM but that's one I don't have, so I used a tag from Plantin Schoolbook ((If you want to play along but don't have a certain cartridge, feel free to use any cart! we love to see you work!!))...Also we have Peggy Loves Vintage sponsoring us this week. That's where that cute hula girl came from! Check out the Etsy shop, she has amazing vintage images to chose from! I love anything vintage so I was so happy to join in this week!
I used Life's a Beach for the palm tree, sand, and waves. I did ink the edges for a more vintage feel.
I want to use this as a bookmark, so to be sure everything stays glued down, I used the glossy modge podge. It really helps to seal everything..and it makes the flowers pop a little more!
Be sure to check out BBTB2 for more amazing ideas from out talented DT! Thanks for stopping by!

BBTB2-Life's A Beach Challenge

It's time for another challenge over at BBTB2..this week the DT was asked to use the Leaf1 cut from Life's A Beach cartridge. We could use any cut from that page. I used the 'escape' sentiment because I've always loved  it. I got so lucky and found this bamboo looking paper in my stash, and it just worked out perfect! I wanted a beachy feel, so I added the flowers and the fibers also.
I cut a tag from Plantin Schoolbook for the cute little sandals stamp. And added the little green buttons to the flowers.
I dug out my old shaped scissors for the edge of the tag and colored in the stamp just with a white gelly pen. I'm definitely not a copic pro! LOL

Thanks for taking a look..make sure to check out the BBTB2 blog for more great ideas from the amazing DT!

BBTB2 Bee Challenge and Blog Hop!

Hello everyone! This is my second challenge as part of the DT for BBTB2 and it's also our Blog Hop time!...we were asked to use the Bee from Sentimentals but I don't have that cart yet, so I chose the bee from Create a Critter. I welded the bee hive together on my gypsy to make it into a card. I cut the yellow layer just a little bit smaller so it created a shadow and ran it through the cuttle bug. The bee is just too cute I thought..and super super easy to layer. The bee hive had a smaller heart on the top of it, but I cut it off and added a bigger heart and layered it from the Paisely cart.I stamped the sentiment, added faux stitching, added the cute little prima flowers with the lil yellow button and did some inking. Hope you like it! Now onto the BLOG HOP!...

You can start the hop from the BBTB2 blog HERE or if you came from Enfys blog then you are in the right spot! Here is the blog candy I am giving away..it's a super cute mini album I just finished using Create a Critter..the lucky winner will be drawn on Thursday April 29th, ( I will use Random.org) all you have to do is leave a comment and make sure you are a follower!.....
All of the envelopes and tags were cut from Plantin Schoolbook and each tag is stamped with a cute woodland critter, there is room for journaling and to add pics.. :)
This was a lot of fun to make and I hope however wins loves it as much as I do!

Ok now you need to hop over to Beth's blog HERE to check out her fun projects!

**Make sure you leave a comment and a way that I can get a hold of you if win! TFL! :)
