Let's Face it Friday Challenge & some EAD cuteness!

For the Scrappy Mom's Birthday Blog Hop CLICK HERE.

Hey there! Wow this week has flown by! It's been a very scrappy week for me, I think I will take the weekend to relax! :) ....so today is the 17th Let's Face it Friday Challenge at the Peachy Keen challenge blog. This week the theme is to create a patriotic card representing your country. Remember to join in this challenge you have to use a PKS face  on your project!

Here's my shape card, representing the good ol' U-S-of-A!

I'm lovin the way this turned out! It was a fun one to make too! Here's some details..
The little boy is from the Playtime cartridge..his flag was acutally a net, but I thought it looked close enough to a flag, and it worked! The star I cut from A Chlid's Year, but I think there are a few stars on other carts too. I wanted a zigzagy scallop circle and the only cartridge I found that on was the Easter 2010 seasonal cart..and the 'freedom' is from the Graphically Speaking cartridge.
The pattern papers are from a few differnet collections..MyMindsEye, MarthaStewart, K&Co..and the 'freedom' is on glittery white cardstock (but it's kinda hard to tell). And the USA stickers are by Cosmo Cricket.

The face I used is from the PK-460 Happy Lashes assortment..I think those are my current favies right now...lol..I hope you like it!

Come join in  the challenge..one random winner will be picked to win the new Sampler Face Pack and  the super cute Skunk set!!

Today is also a new Isabel's Umbrella sticker release day at EAD Designs..

It doesn't get much cuter than that!
Here's a little 3x5 card I whipped up for some inspiration..

and remember at EAD...

Have a great weekend!

Halloween Cards with NEW Scrappy Mom's Stamps...

Hi there! I am soo excited to share these cards made using the new Scrappy Mom's stamps called A Haunting We Will Go. These have the cutest phrases and sayings perfect for Halloween! I was just dying to get these so I could finally use my Mini Monsters cartridge! I'm loving this cart, it's so fun and the stamps work perfect with it! Here is my -Fangs toYou- card...
The sentiment is heat embossed and the face is from the Peachy Keen Monster Mash face set (I won those from My Creative Time, yay!).

The next card is made using A Child's Year cart..another fav!
Lots of pop dotting going on! The moon/clouds came from one of the Disney Princess carts  (I totally forgot which one..sorry!..I think it's the one with Aladin on it)...

Hope you like 'em and hopefully you can get these stamps, Halloween will be here before we know it!
Check out Tammie's blog, she made a cuuute card with this stamp set too!

Challenge #8 with Sandra

I almost forgot..I have one more card to share today..this is my card I made along with my sis Sandra (our Challenge w/each other)..I chose the adorable little fairy from A Child's Year cartridge and here is what I came up with...
I stuck with the monochromatic theme..I hardly ever use purple so I thought I would give it a try for this card.
I cut a layer of vellum for the wings and used some stickles also. The wings kinda stick up.
Hope you like it, and I promise that's the last post for today! lol! :)

Happy Monday everyone! I just finished my entry for the BBTB2 Contest, we had to do a spring time project and use stamps along with any cricut cut. The prize is a gift card for Technique Tuesday..I hope I win b/c I just looove their stamps!! So for my card I used this cute image from A Child's Year cart. I cut it four times and cut and layered the different pieces. I used stamps for the lil birdie, the flower, and the 'Hello'. Love My Grandma

Hi everyone, I'm back! Woo-hoo! I feel like I have been away from the blogging world for so long! Well I am finally moved into my new house and I already have my craft room all ready to go ((that was the 1st room I unpacked! lol))..I will have to show you all pics of my new space..it's so great, I looove it!! I couldn't believe how much scrapbooking stuff I have, I must have packed up about 10 boxes! wow!..but I have been scrapbooking for about 6 years now, so I have quite a collection of things! I can't wait to get in there and start creating, for now I just wanted to share a layout I did a few weeks ago for my MIL, it's of her and Natalie when she was just a few days old. I used Lyrical Letters for the words, SYI for the swirls, and A Child's Year for the 'sweet'.  I also stamped the cute little deers and pop dot those and added the prima flowers. Ok hopefully that will hold you over until I make something new! lol! TFL!

Cheer Up

It has been raining now for 3 days straight! In California that is waaaay to much! LOL! I have been forced to stay inside so I got a LOT of card making done today..and I thought a little rainy day type card would fit my mood! :) And it worked perfect for the Just Buggin' challenge for this week (to make a monchromatic card) . So here I used A Child's Year cart for the girl and for the scalloped rectangle. Then I embossed the scallop with my cuttlebug, inked it with white chalk ink. I added some faux stitching, blue stickles, some buttons, prima flowers and ribbon. And the sentiment was heat embossed. TFL!
